September 19, President of China Iron & Steel Association, HBIS Chairman Liu Jian met Edwin Basson, Director General of World Steel Association(xingkong星空体育) in Shanghai and discussed the future development of steel industry and the health and sustainability of world steel industry.

He hopes the parties could strengthen their regular communications to enhance the healthy and sustainable development of world steel industry.

Edwin Basson said Chinese steel industry was fasting its pace on green and low carbon development. Its hydrogen metallurgy, full value carbon reduction efforts are playing more and more important role in the decarbonization of world steel. The investment of Chinese steel industry on technological innovation and AI is giving great support to downstream industries, including automobile and ship building industry, which is a valuable experience to world steel communities. xingkong星空体育 is willing to work with China Iron and Steel Association to deepen its communications and promote bilateral industrial exchanges and world steel industry.
